Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director of Wharton Global Initiatives (WGI), the Director of Strategy and Implementation directs and manages the execution of WGI programs and interests and, with respect to core programs such as Global Modular Courses (GMC) and Faculty International Seminars (FIS), partners with the Managing Director on strategic planning including identifying topics and locations as well as program design and management.
The director is also responsible for directing and managing processes for program planning, implementation, analytics, and communications to align and enhance efficiencies within WGI as it grows the breadth and depth of its offerings. The position works closely with colleagues in External Affairs to collaborate on and support relevant engagement opportunities and program offerings for alumni. The position will also supervise program management staff as they are added to the team. In addition, the director collaborates with marketing and communications colleagues in the School and External Affairs to share post-program data and stories that accurately reflect the breadth, depth, and individual impact of international experiential education and research.
Finally, the director will manage and build relationships across Wharton External Affairs, the School, Penn, and peer universities, both domestic and international, to gather input and identify areas of mutual interest with the goal of maximizing resources, increasing offerings, and fostering a collaborative global education and research strategy across the alumni community, Wharton, and the university.

Qualifications
A master’s degree and 5-7 years of experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
