Job Description Summary
Showcases directed focus and strategic boldness by prioritizing and managing financial and administrative duties. These duties include budget preparation and management, budget forecasting, strategic planning regarding use of available funds, and assuring that financial and administrative operations follow all University, State and Federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
Engages in the collective care of staff through supervision, training, and evaluation of multiple staff members.
Serves as primary process liaison for Undergraduate Admissions with University and Provost Human Resources departments in order to achieve meaningful clarity by ensuring that processes and policies are well-documented and communicated appropriately.
Serves as primary resource and lead with regard to any processes being managed in Workday, Concur, and other University systems that support finance and human capital management for 71 FTEs and approximately 200 students.
Collaborates directly with Vice Dean, Engagement & Inclusion to ensure intentional equity across job postings, hiring, and on-boarding of employees related to search processes, staff compensation, and professional development funds.
The Director of Finance and Administration reports to the Associate Vice Provost, Finance and Operations with a secondary reporting line to the Vice Dean, Director of Information and Management Systems in Admissions. This role and all direct reports are fully embedded within the Admissions Office.
