First, the Director will strategically plan for field placements and Community-Engaged Professional Education in collaboration with the MSW Administrative Director, Faculty Director and Field Education Director and the leaders of the MSSP and NPL Programs, providing administrative oversight and leadership.
Second, the position leads the integration of all community-engaged education across SP2’s three master’s degree programs. Major components of this effort include developing an integrated Sonia database that includes information about community partner organizations that serve as field placements, internships, and practica placements for MSW, MSSP and NPL students. The person in this position will maintain collaborative working relationships with faculty and staff in all three Master’s degree programs. Through leadership of Community-Engaged Professional Education, this person will support aims of integration of community-engaged professional education across MSW, NPL and MSSP Programs, enhance SP2’s impact in Philadelphia, support development of practice cores with agency partners, and strengthen capacity for research-practice collaborations.
All SP2 staff are required to participate in convocation and graduation ceremonies as needed.Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Supervise Community-Engaged Professional Education Administrator, including maintaining oversight of databases related to field education.
Develop Sonia data base to include information about students and community partners for MSW, MSSP and NPL student placements. Create ongoing operational strategies to maintain, update and use the database effectively to enhance community-engaged professional education for students in all three Master’s programs.
Initiate, lead and participate in various programmatic committees, including meetings with community-engaged professional education stakeholders across the three Master’s programs.
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned. All SP2 staff are required to participate in convocation and graduation ceremonies as needed.
