Implement research projects at The Wharton Behavioral Lab with the help of laboratory assistants.
The purpose of the position is to provide assistance to the WBL Administrative Coordinator on a variety of services that support data collection for behavioral research on business-related topics.
The primary goal is to enhance the productivity of Wharton faculty by minimizing the operational cost and time when conducting their research projects. The position should contribute to Wharton’s reputation for excellence in academic research and enhance the school’s ability to attract and retain the very best scholars.
Responsible for the activities of the lab, communicating daily on all aspects related to lab operations with Lead Administrative Coordinator. Open and close the lab. Assist over 50 participants per day and provide them with appropriate instructions to ensure data collection is processed properly.
Assist the Lead Research Assistant in the implementation of new studies (at one of the laboratories) every week. Test the studies in advance. Train assistants to support the project needs in the most efficient manner.
Qualifications
High School or GED Required, with 3-5 years of related or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; research or related field a plus. Qualified candidates should have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently. Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel) and good people skills are required.
