Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Director of Advising, the Academic Advisor is a member of the Wharton Undergraduate Division’s advising team which supports undergraduate students with their intellectual, personal and professional development. The Academic Advisor will advise students throughout their undergraduate career, helping them make informed decisions about their educational plans and goals that are consistent with their interests, abilities, and values. The Academic Advisor supports academic programs and initiatives that serve undergraduate advisees. This is a hybrid eligible position.
Job Description
Advise and support Wharton students regarding academic program planning and options. Support students in all aspects of academic careers and address emotional, social, financial, or other difficulties they may experience. Develop and provide transformative, in-depth, developmental advising initiatives. Collaborate with other advisors to maintain and develop advising tools and other planning aids for students. Participate on committees and projects that support advising services and mission. Participate in weekly meetings to discuss divisional policies and procedures and to review current issues and cases. Attend academic conferences and represent the Wharton Undergraduate Division at events that advance the mission and objectives of the department. Work with Wharton departments and other organizations within the University as needed. This is a hybrid eligible position.

Bachelor’s Degree; 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
