The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Lead Maintenance Technician within the department of Enterprises and Operations. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?The Lead Maintenance Technician reports to and will work with the maintenance director on all operational aspects of a comprehensive maintenance program for all UEE facilities and the equipment within these facilities. This position will perform and/or oversee installation, removal, corrective, and preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment, food service equipment, and concession equipment along with minor building repairs. He/she will lead maintenance team in matters pertaining to walk-in, reach-in, icemachines, and other various commercial refrigeration equipment. Coordinate projects with unit managers, campus project coordinators, outside contractors, and specialized service companies. Candidate must have strong knowledge of principles of refrigeration. Lead technician must respond to emergency refrigeration issues, possess the ability to braze, recover refrigerant, evacuate and charge systems using appropriate tools methods and equipment. Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed, maintain parts inventory, supplies, vehicles, and tools. Promote safety and compliance in the work place. Work with computer programs associated with this job such as AIM, complyND, Concur, et cetera. Be part of an on-call rotation to provide 24 hour service 365 days a year.
