Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Recruitment & Outreach, the Admission Counselor will serve as a key member of the Office of Admissions recruitment team. The purpose of this position is to serve as a primary line of undergraduate recruitment and marketing efforts, including territory management and participating in recruitment activities on-and-off campus, including recruitment events, college fairs, and community events. This position will be charged with the responsibility of promoting the university, generating interest from prospective students, coaching students through critical enrollment steps, and developing relationships and partnerships. Recruitment and engagement with a broad constituency will occur regularly, this will include: middle school, high school and transfer student populations; families/parents of prospective students; high school and community college advisors and counselors; alumni; college access programs; and community based organizations.
Freshmen and Transfer Territory Recruitment (50%): Comprehensive and strategic management of an individually assigned recruitment territory in Colorado and out-of-state. This will require:
Freshmen and Transfer Student Yield Management (30%): Execution of data-driven outreach targeted at guiding students through critical enrollment steps that are intended to meet enrollment goals. This will require:
Supporting Programs and Events (10%): Participate in the direction, coordination and implementation of the following recruitment activities:

Salary and Benefits:
Salary is $41,000. Benefits available include health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement plans. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.

Satisfactory completion of a background check, educational check, and authorization to work in the United States is required after a conditional offer of employment has been made. The successful candidate must submit original transcripts within one (1) month of hire.
