Position Summary |
This position is with the Epidemiology Research Team in the Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. The department’s mission is to: provide excellent and compassionate care to patients; train future radiologists; and engage in basic and clinical research that advances the field of radiology. In accordance with that mission, the department’s Epidemiology Research Team conducts clinical and population-based research on topics related to radiologic imaging. We are currently seeking a Social/Clinical Research Assistant to work on studies related to understanding cancer risk and prognosis. This position is grant funded, with support expected to end at the beginning of September 2024. Primary responsibilities include:

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic about learning new research skills. Experience with any of the following is also desired: data collection for clinical research or epidemiologic studies; electronic health records chart review; data analysis with SAS or R; scientific manuscript writing; grant writing. |
