Position Summary |
The Accounting Technician will manage and oversee departmental funds for the FBO Service Center. This includes monthly account reconciliation, preparing billing and processing payments, maintaining and controlling general ledger accounts and reports, managing accounts receivable, and performing collections activities. This position will also provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and will recommend financial actions and provide accounts guidance to others. The Accounting Technician will work in collaboration with departmental accounting offices and University finance departments and will provide support for various projects and reporting responsibilities as needed. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to interpret and apply University policies and procedures. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience with accounting methodology, practices, and procedures. Experience with PeopleSoft. Experience in a higher education and/or health care setting. |
