University of North Carolina Asheville Hiring for Housekeeper at Asheville, NC  Full Time

The purpose of this position is to provide safe, clean, and comfortable living and learning environments in the residence halls and student life facilities of the University of North Carolina Asheville community. This position is highly visible throughout the department and the University. This position interacts on a frequent basis with students, staff, faculty, and visitors. This position is primarily responsible for general housekeeping in student life areas of the University including the Student Center, Dining Hall entrance area, and Admissions. Daily work includes trash removal, recycling, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, glass cleaning, and bathroom cleaning. All Housing and Residence Life employees are expected to serve as positive representatives of the department and the University.

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.

Second shift: Typical hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 2:30pm to 11pm. Due to the nature of this position and department needs, there will be certain time periods where this position will work first shift (7am-3:30pm) Monday-Friday and those time periods will be coordinated well in advance. All Housing and Residence Life staff are designated as University Critical Personnel in accordance with UNC Asheville policy.
