Requisition Summary

The Engineering Department is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to manage and lead the cost reduction team. The Engineering Supervisor will lead all aspects of the team including team member performance management, work load selection and assignment, as well as tracking and reporting on progress towards the division cost reduction goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background in managing employees while leading them to meet department and division goals.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a high performance team which includes supervising, personnel development, team building, proportioning workload and tracking progress.
• Identify projects that will reduce part cost, identify resources to work these projects (either on this team or other teams in engineering), track and report progress towards division cost reduction goals.
• This position will be responsible for the following: track all aspects of individual project work including budget, costs, schedule, validation, and parts; provide regular status updates to management; manage projects through all tollgates per the PCP process while ensuring the use of DFSS tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

• BSME or equivalent engineering degree required; Masters degree and PE license preferred.
• 5+ years of design experience,previous supervisory and/or lead experience preferred.
• PACCAR/manufacturing plant experience desirable.
• Self-directed with excellent engineering judgement.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Overall product knowledge desired.
• Experience working within a gated product creation process desired.
• Ability to guide members and build a solid team, being accountable for the team’s dynamics and interactions.
• Ability to provide group leadership and management of human resource issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Job Board Information:

The salary range for Engineering Supervisor- Cost Reduction is $93,000 – $145,500. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
