Summary of Position
Provide technical expertise and support for
research projects and technical management for select project tasks for the newly established Atlantic Marine Energy Center (AMEC). Work
closely with AMEC team on research and development relevant to Marine Energy and Powering the Blue Economy and providing research
capabilities and access to test facilities for industry. Develop additional testing and analytical capabilities. Pursue IEC/ISO
accreditation of AMEC open water test sites. Collaborate with marine energy and blue economy industry across a broad range of technologies
and cross-cutting R&D topics.

2234 Topic Area 2 and the AMEC Statement of Project Objectives (SOPO) developed by the AMEC team in close collaboration with DOE Water
Power Technology Office (WPTO), under the direction of the project P.I.
Duty/Responsibility
Technical
management of accreditation for UNH tidal energy test site to conduct testing under IEC TC 114 Marine Energy Standards. Collaborate with
AMEC partner Coastal Studies Institute (CSI), the European Marine Energy Center (EMEC) and U.S. National Laboratories active in marine
energy research (NREL, SNL, PNNL)
Duty/Responsibility
Collaborate with Marine Energy and Blue Economy
industry across a broad range of technologies, including Power at Sea, Resilient Coastal Communities, Wave-Tidal-Offshore Wind
collaborations, storage integration with marine energy, supply chain analysis, material, anchoring and mooring systems and other
cross-cutting topics.
