Summary
The Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for HR strategy, leading and managing HR services, policies and programs for the School of Dentistry. This position includes HR functions for faculty and staff. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Community-Based Collaborative Care and Education, the director consults with and advises leadership and management on faculty and staff HR matters from employee/union relations and performance management to salary administration and workforce planning. The school’s Human Resources Service Center (HRSC) reports to the HR Director and is responsible for administering and/or facilitating faculty and staff employment, appointments, compensation, on-boarding, visa and immigration, and other personnel actions initiated by department managers. The HR Director develops and leads HR practices, objectives and initiatives that foster the school’s mission and core values, and the recruitment and retention of diverse and talented faculty and staff.
