The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead our
new Aircraft Maintenance Technician School that will be opening for the Fall Semester 2024. This is a full-time,
fixed-length appointment through December 31, 2025. This is a soft money-funded position. The continuation of this position beyond this date
is contingent upon funding and the needs of the university.
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) Program Manager will be
responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive training program for aspiring aircraft
maintenance technicians. The manager will optimize the curriculum, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations as well as
the FAA-Approved Training Course Outline (TCO). The manager will foster a supportive learning environment that equips students with the
necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the aviation maintenance field. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to
shape the future of aviation maintenance education and contribute to the success of our students.
The successful candidate will have
experience with a wide range of aircraft maintenance and repair, electronics, FAA regulations, physics for AMTS, and mathematical functions.
They may be required to teach up to two classes per semester and travel to other UMA or University of Maine System (UMS) locations.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends as
necessary
