Position Description: | Become a member of our team – a team that is changing medicine and changing lives. The Department of Pathology at University of Iowa Health Care is currently accepting applications for a Clinical Instructor (working title: Medical Laboratory Sciences Program Director). This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual seeking to work in a fast-paced learning environment within the Department of Pathology. Job Duties: Design, plan, promote, facilitate, oversee, and evaluate a healthcare program of substantial complexity such as the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program through its association with Kirkwood Community College (KCC). Responsible for the promotion of the MLS Program, the recruitment, academic advising, and admissions process for University of Iowa students enrolled in the MLS program, as well as the processes for course registration and grade submission. Function as the key educator, resource, and liaison between UIHC and KCC. Work in close cooperation with the KCC MLT Program Director. Facilitate all aspects of the clinical instruction for the MLS and MLT students assigned to UIHC clinical rotations in the Department of Pathology. Develops and maintains operating budgets in collaboration with Pathology Administration. |
