About Kinesiology and Sport Studies
Founded in 2015, the Master of Arts in Sport Coaching (MASC) was the first degree in GSPP history to be offered fully online and continues to be the only fully online degree at GSPP. We established additional fully online graduate certificates in 2018 and 2019. In Fall 2021, we launched an undergraduate minor in Kinesiology and Sport Studies, and in Fall 2023, we are launching a new, on-campus undergraduate major in Kinesiology and Sport Studies, with plans for continued growth in students and degree offerings. Our new undergraduate major in Kinesiology and Sport Studies is an on-campus program, with the likelihood of offering some courses in summer or inter-term online.
Position Summary
GSPP seeks a full-time, benefited, Student and Academic Services Manager to support our undergraduate program and provide secondary support to our online sport programs and certificates. This important role will serve as the primary point of contact throughout an undergraduate students lifecycle (enrolled through graduation to alumni engagement). This role is directly responsible for student advisement and enhancing student persistence, academic achievement, and career and graduate or professional school placement.
Also, this person will provide essential academic and logistical support for student internship, study abroad, and assessment and accreditation. Finally, this position will provide secondary support for the programs marketing and communication. Additionally, this position will work closely with the Sports Coaching Graduate Enrollment Coordinator to ensure alignment on messaging and processes between the programs. To meet the demands of on-campus students, this position will be expected to work on-campus, with some remote work negotiable.
