JOB SUMMARYUConn Husky Nutrition & Sport (UConn HNS) is hiring for two full-time positions that will serve as leaders and supporters with collaborative partnerships alongside youth, adults, families, teachers, and staff operating within school-based and community-based locations primarily within the city of Hartford and then across the State of Connecticut. UConn HNS is excited about the opportunity to engage with talented candidates possessing a range of diverse experience and expertise, with specific attention to one or more of the following areas of our sustained work;
The Educational Program Coordinators will coordinate and support UConn HNS partnerships to plan and deliver educational sessions with participants, assist with program evaluation, be responsible for completing required reports, and perform related duties as required. In addition, these positions will play an important role in the development and supervision of UConn student staff, student interns, and student volunteers that support UConn HNS partnerships and programs.
Managed by representatives of the UConn HNS Leadership Team, our internal organization operates through and across five different teams (People, Partners, Impact, Communications, and Operations) to coordinate our work alongside people, collaborative partners, and our direct education programs. Candidates do not need to possess experience and expertise that matches with all the areas outlined above, however, we are seeking candidates with strengths, experience, and expertise that can support and enhance select components of the various organizational teams. APPOINTMENT TERMSThis is an end-dated position subject to annual renewal based on funding and performance. The University offers a competitive salary, outstanding benefits including employee and dependent tuition waivers at UConn, and a highly desirable work environment. Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s background and experience. Other rights, terms, and conditions of employment are contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA).
