JOB SUMMARY
The University of Connecticut, Stamford campus, seeks applicants to serve as the Admissions Coordinator on the Stamford campus. Under the direction of the Senior Admissions Officer, this position focuses on the management of the campus visits program, including hiring, training, and supervision of student guides, coordination of visit registration, and follow-up, conducting presentations to campus visitors, working with community-based organizations and high school group visits, assisting with large scale campus-wide events and special sessions as well as giving tours as needed.
The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to write clearly and informatively, interpret written information, compose routine letters and emails, and respond appropriately and in a timely manner to inquiries and concerns by phone and email. The candidate will also be expected to accurately enter information into various computer programs, paying close attention to detailed information to ensure the accuracy and completeness of database reports. Candidates should have a working knowledge of office equipment, the ability to troubleshoot issues, and maintain positive working relationships with campus departments, student workers, and the external community.
This position requires flexibility in work schedule to support recruitment initiatives and includes evenings and weekends, as well as changes in schedule due to special events or holidays.

This is a permanent full-time position that requires flexibility in the work schedule to include irregular and flexible hours as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays.
