College of Community Innovation and Education
The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) is a one-of-a-kind academic unit with distinct, interdisciplinary expertise and potential for partnership with community stakeholders, conceived to address societal challenges and work alongside the community. Established in 2018, the college offers undergraduate and graduate programs on the main campus and UCF Downtown. The Opportunity:
The Program Manager II serves as the program coordinator for the UCF Project English-Learner Infused Training and Experience (ELITE) Program for Early and Primary Learning Educators, a federally funded grant program by the Office of English Language Acquisition. The position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the ELITE grant program in collaboration with the grant project team.
Responsibilities:
The Program Manager II is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Project ELITE. Responsibilities include all project logistics, personnel management, formative and summative evaluation reporting to determine programmatic results, budget management, providing professional learning, and serving as a professional learning liaison for all partner school districts. This position is also responsible for overseeing three separate programs involved in Project ELITE and managing team leaders embedded in partner school districts, adjuncts, GTAs, research associates, and other personnel as determined throughout the life of the five-year project. The Program Manager II is additionally responsible for coordinating and collaborating with the Program Evaluation and Educational Research Group (PEER) and the Principal Investigator (PI) on Project ELITE strategy implementation, feedback, and revisions throughout the life of the project. Responsibilities include:
Assuring that all research project data, as well as reporting requirements, are collected, organized, analyzed, and disseminated.
Communicating clearly and in a facilitative manner with all team members, partner organizations, UCF/College of Community Innovation & Education, and the public.
Monitoring the project budget in relation to the research and development efforts of the project.
Monitoring all sites in the project for research design compliance, maintaining the research schedule, and keeping all IRB approvals current.
Ensuring that all project activities are completed in a timely manner.
Providing research materials required to carry out research activities to each site.
Assisting with research data collection and archival.
Maintaining accurate records of project team and other project-related activities.
Supervising project personnel and consultants.
Facilitating and coaching teachers and administrators.
Assisting in the planning of future research activities.
Analyzing data collected during research activities.
Supporting efforts to disseminate project research through publishing or presenting.
Supporting the continuation of the project beyond the funding period and internationalizing the project.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
MA or MS in Education or Educational Leadership, TESOL, or cognate discipline from an accredited institution at the time of application.
Experience in teaching, collaborating, and/or supporting English learners, teachers of English learners, school administrators and/or English learner families in PK-12 settings.
Experience in instructional coaching of teachers and other staff.
Experience teaching, collaborating and/or supporting English learners, teachers of English learners, school administrators, and/or English learner families in voluntary pre-kindergarten through Grade 3.
Experience using a learning management system such as Canvas.
Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish in order to work effectively with customers and team members.
Experience allocating resources and managing a budget.
Experience using technology to gather data and generate memos and reports.
Experience managing candidates through a system with aptitude in recruitment, enrollment, and supporting candidates through an education or professional learning program.
Proven communication skills, particularly with diverse groups, including faculty, employees, parents, community/school leaders, and students.
Record of working independently and with self-directed teams.
