Position description
Professor Magy Seif El-Nasr in the Computational Media Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a part-time project scientist.
The project scientist will work closely with Dr. Seif El-Nasr’s Game User Interaction and Intelligence (GUII) Lab on a project called CADE II. In this project, a team of students work collaboratively with a team at Charles River Analytics to develop visualizations to support modeling human behavior using log data from social media or games.
This project has been ongoing since 2019, where we developed various visualization approaches using mock data. During this year, as the project scientist takes on this project, there are several designs that we have produced but have not evaluated. The duties of this position will be to develop and evaluate these designs. The incumbent will represent our lab from UCSC in collaboration with Charles River Analytics and will attend collaborative meetings as well as meetings with Dr. Seif El-Nasr to strategize on the development of the visualization system.
