Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range: The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $27.68 – $33.03 per hour.
Full Salary Range: Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the University. The salary range for this position is $27.68 – $50.58 per hour.
Work Location: 2101 SAASB (Student Affairs & Administrative Services Building)
Working Days and Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Our office oversees and disburses approximately $400 million in student aid to over 16,000 students annually at UCSB. Brief Summary of Job Duties
The Financial Analyst serves as office financial lead processing analyst for campus work opportunity programs. Performs high level detailed and complex payroll and financial aid data analysis. Assists the Fiscal Operations unit in meeting its goal of providing sound oversight of both the department and Federal, State and Institutional student aid funds. Creates and runs reports that assist in both the internal and Federal and State audit of Financial Aid disbursed funds to guarantee adherence to Institutional, State & Federal policy. Seeks resolution on issues through the coordinating efforts of Information Technology Services, Financial Aid Information Systems, FOU Team members and Financial Aid Advisors. Community outreach and analytical lead for the UCSB Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP). Performs tasks at the operational level in all areas of LAEP administration. Provides technical support and troubleshooting to LAEP employers in the area of timekeeping, payroll, program eligibility and requirements. Advises students regarding eligibility and the application process. Conducts workshops and trainings to LAEP administrators.
