Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.
The Training & Health Equity Collaborative Project Manager plays a crucial role within the THEC team. Their primary responsibility is to oversee and manage day-to-day activities related to projects led by the Co-PI’s of the THEC, as well as other projects in their portfolio. This role operates under the guidance of the Deputy Director and receives additional oversight from the senior management team. The project manager provides administrative management, project management, and evaluation management to both the AC Alliance funded ACTUD program, and the Anthem funded LATDU program. To fulfill this role effectively, they collaborate closely with various colleagues including the THEC Director, Associate Director other Project Managers, Training Managers, and coordinators. In addition, they manage a variety of subject matter experts by way of subcontracted scopes. Key responsibilities of the Project Manager encompass managing websites and promotional materials for all THEC projects, logistical and technical support for online events, social media, and other collaboration platforms, managing evaluation data in the CHAMP database, and other project specific databases, logistical planning, and co-hosting/co-leading trainings as needed, as well as preparing all progress reports.

Department Description
The Department of Family & Community Medicine (DFCM) is engaged in research, teaching, training, service and clinical activities located at seven primary UCSF and leased sites in San Francisco [Parnassus, Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) – Buildings 80, 90, 20 and the Main Hospital, Mission Center Building (MCB), Laurel Heights, Mission Hall, Lakeshore, Lakeside] as well as the OSHER center, Women’s Health and the UCSF Primary Care Practices at China Basin and Laurel Village and at various local community, national and international research / service / education training and clinical sites. In addition to the Department’s Family Medicine Residency Program located at ZSFG, the Department has affiliated residency programs in Fresno, Salinas, Santa Rosa, Kaiser Vallejo, and Contra Costa Health Systems. Authority and accountability for the Department reside with the Department Chair who delegates authority to Vice Chairs, the Executive Council, Directors and Chiefs of Service and their Administrators and the Associate Chair of Administration and Finance. The DFCM has a large teaching, research, and clinical set of programs and activities based at ZSFG Hospital where this position is based and represents more than half of all the activities for DFCM as a whole. The PAETC Unit within DFCM is an affiliate of the UCSF AIDS Research Institute and is funded primarily by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and the CDC (through President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief [PEPFAR] allocations). The program provides AIDS-related training, education, technical assistance and information services to health care providers both domestically and internationally through five domestic projects (PAETC, the Center of Excellence for Transgender Health (CoE), TARGET Center, the Alameda County Care Connect training unit, and a CA State Office of AIDS grant for prevention and care) and one international project (I-TECH). One HRSA grant includes eight subcontracts and agreements and one State contract includes six subcontracts and agreements.
