Job Summary
This is a shared recruitment between the Division of Hospital Medicine and Central Administration in the Department of Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
We are excited to recruit an experienced administrative professional to manage general finance and human resource activities for the Division. This position will manage monthly financial reconciliation activities for non-sponsored projects, including regular audits of payroll distribution and accounts, funding entry and salary cost transfers, and processing of financial journals. Additionally, this role will coordinate and lead key aspects of the human resources, including managing the staff recruitment process, processing timesheet corrections, and serve as the point of contact to address human resource issues as they arise. Further, we seek a person who embraces and actively promotes an inclusive and equitable work environment.
Additionally, this position will become part of the Central Administration unit, reporting directly to the Director of Administration and Finance. The incumbent is a crucial part of the leadership team, providing support to our three mission areas of research, clinical, and education. Functions may include IT, facilities, human resources, clinical operations, or human resources. Provides support in long and short term planning.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% – 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Department Description
The Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital provides inpatient, outpatient, and consult services and is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, clinical services, and quality/systems improvement. ZSFG hospitalists are keen partners with the hospital, integrated in performance improvement, quality of care and efficiency of care work across each clinical service to improve the systems of care for all patients at ZSFG employing lean management concepts. The Division provides five in-patient care teams, addiciation medicine services, palliative medicine, and acute care for the elderly, through our 39 core faculty, 13 staff, 2 advance-practice providers, and 9 volunteer faculty.
The ZSFG Department of Medicine mission is to advance health by developing and supporting innovators in patient-centered care, scientific discovery, medical education, and public policy. The department encompasses 13 divisions, 200 core faculty, 107 volunteer faculty, and 466 staff, and had revenue of $191.2M in FY22.
