Position Description:
Under the direction of the Co-Directors, the Senior Project Manager will oversee the multiple branches of the Asian American Pacific Islander Multimedia Textbook Project of the UCLA Asian American Studies Center.
The Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Multimedia Textbook is a narrative change project that brings together distinguished scholarship, open access technology, and ethnic studies pedagogy to deepen public knowledge about who we are, strengthen students’ historical empathy and bring Asian American and Pacific Islander stories into every classroom. It is a free Asian American and Pacific Islander Studies resource geared toward students and instructors in 9th-14th grade classrooms.
The Senior Project Manager will coordinate and supervise the leads for each project branch – content and editorial; teacher training; marketing and school adoption; outreach and fundraising; technology; and evaluation – to ensure efficient workflow to project completion and effective collaboration within and among teams and with organizational partners. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with the Project Co-Directors to facilitate decision making processes; understand new and emerging pieces of the project vision; and incorporate changes and feedback into new iterations of the project branches’ strategic processes.
Special Instructions:
The target salary range for this position between the posted minimum and $7,916 monthly depending on experience. This is a one year contract position eligible for renewal.
