Position Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Provost and Chief of Staff (AP/CoS) to the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost (EVCP), the Project Manager will provide day-to-day operational support for the EVCP’s office and support cross-organizational initiatives, policies and procedures and special projects as assigned. The project manager will work in collaboration with the EVCP’s team and designated personnel across the entire enterprise, including senior leadership, faculty, staff and students, to ensure critical projects are tracked and managed in accordance with goals and delivery dates for both short-term and multi-phased projects. Candidates should have high-level organization skills and demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, interacting with colleagues at various levels of the University, planning and facilitating meetings, interpreting policies and procedures and establishing prioritization schedules based on the EVCP’s vision and goals. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Project Manager will be expected to perform ongoing assessments and status reports and to advise the AP/CoS on course corrections, modifications, resources and other needs to execute projects and goals. The UCLA EVCP’s office oversees both the academic mission and operations of the campus, setting strategic priorities for the University and bringing broad vision and executive leadership to campuswide policymaking, planning, initiatives and operations.
