Position Description:
UCLA Lab School is looking for a passionate and skilled Communications Manager. The UCLA Lab School Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing a strategic communications plan, delivering impactful messaging to represent the school’s unique mission, values, programs, and educational philosophy through a multimedia approach. The ideal candidate has a strong storytelling and design sensibility and is passionate about sharing the essential work of UCLA Lab School with the world.
An active participant in the school’s daily life, the Communications Manager will produce content that informs and increases engagement among internal and external stakeholders via verbal, print, digital, and social media communication methods, such as newsletters, updates, reports, events, and other messaging that supports the school’s goals and priorities.
Founded in 1882, UCLA Lab School is a laboratory school serving 450 students ages 4 to 12 (PreK-6) in a diverse community. The mission of UCLA Lab School is to promote innovation and excellence in education through teaching, research and public engagement. UCLA Lab School offers an inclusive, inquiry-based curriculum that prepares children with the knowledge and skills they need to take an informed and responsible role in the world. The Lab School’s research program brings top experts to the school community to explore promising ideas about what matters most in education for the benefit of children, educators and families at the Lab School and beyond.
Special Instructions:
The target salary for this position is between the posted minimum and $7,250 monthly.
