Position Description:
Under the direction of the Director, Case Management Services, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a case management system to coordinate, facilitate, and monitor programs and services undergraduate and graduate students experiencing distress. Case Managers will facilitate crisis intervention during regular business hours for students who are at risk for harming themselves or others.
Coordinate with the Office of the Dean of Students, Counseling and Psychological Services, Residential Life, UCPD, Academic Counseling and other administrators as appropriate to address the needs of students who have problems in areas that may include academics, health-related, psychological, economic, housing insecurity, discipline, family relationships, social adjustment, and gender-based violence, through assessments, consultations, interventions, referrals, and follow-up services. Collaborate with UCLA Consultation and Response Team to support and assist distressed students.
This position is designed to support specific student populations including, but not limited to Black students, students who have been part of the foster care and probation systems, students who are undocumented or a part of mixed-status families, parenting students and students who are taking care of other dependents such as siblings, students in recovery, students were formerly incarcerated or impacted by the carceral system, and students who have experienced homelessness or houselessness. The position provides crisis intervention, emergency assistance, campus presentations and trainings, consultations regarding resource and referral to campus departments and community agencies.
Special Instructions:
The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $5,833.33 monthly.
This is a two year contract position with the possibility of renewal. Total contract duration will not exceed 4 years.
