Position Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Office of Graduate and Professional Success of the Division of Graduate Education (DGE). Working closely with another academic case manager in the Division, the Academic Case Manager is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating case management services for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars who are experiencing challenges affecting their academic progress. These may include financial concerns, health and wellness issues, and interpersonal conflicts. Duties include: providing direct case management support to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars; recommending and coordinating strategies and solutions to academic departments about responding to scholars experiencing difficulties that impact their educational and research progress; and collaborating on presentations and trainings for students, staff, and faculty to improve holistic support practices. Incumbent will work collaboratively in a team setting with Division of Graduate Education leadership, Office of the Dean of Students, Counseling and Psychological Services, Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, UCPD, UCLA Consultation and Response Team, UCLA Economic Crisis Response Team, and others to provide information and referrals to address needs that are impacting the academic progress of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
Special Instructions:
The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $5,833 monthly. A salary offer at the top of this range will only be made to a candidate with significant prior experience.
