Summary of Job Duties:
The Postdoctoral Fellows will conduct research in developing advanced
lithium metal batteries, such as lithium sulfur (Li-S) or lithium metal oxide (e.g., Li-LiNixMnyCozO2) batteries. The position is expected
to well know the issues of lithium (Li) anodes, sulfur (S) and LiNixMnyCozO2 (NMCs) cathodes, proposed and develop solutions to address the
issues of Li, S, and NMC electrodes, evaluate and improve the performance of lithium metal batteries (Li-S and Li-NMCs) (in terms of energy
density, cyclability, Coulombic efficiency, and power density). In addition, this position is expected to develop new research directions,
prepare proposals to secure external funding for research and commercialization of research, prepare journal and conference papers, and
mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers.
