Summary of Job Duties:This posting will be used to fill multiple positions.
Schedule: 7A-7P or 7P-7A with rotating weekends as needed.
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse, the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Float Division: Medical /Surgical, ED/Critical Care and Women and Infants (FD). These individual Float Divisions are units with no physical boundaries, but still maintain the integrity of each specialized team. The Medical/Surgical FD nurses have the opportunity to work on all of the medical and surgical areas. The ED/Critical care FD nurses have the opportunity to work in the ED, and the ICU areas including intermediate care and PACU. The Women and Infants FD nurses have the opportunity to work in Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, the Ante-partum and Post-partum units.
The Float Division nurses’ use all their nursing assessment and clinical skills to meet new patients, families, and staff on a daily basis. To prepare these Float Division nurses to work in these specialty areas, a variety of courses are offered including Cardiac Dysrhythmia, Chemotherapy and any of the Critical Care courses. Clinical orientation focuses on the nurse’s needs and strengths as they are partnered with a preceptor to maximize their orientation experience.
All Float Division nurses receive a quarterly bonus of 25% for floating to the different areas. The Float pool team is a dynamic group of staff who meet the challenge and flexibility of a new assignment every day.Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master’s degree in Nursing.
Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program.
Current Valid RN License
One (1) year of current expert RN clinical skills in respective field
Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends
Must have excellent charge/leadership skills, and basic computer skills

Responsibilities:
Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
