Summary of Job Duties:OFF-CAMPUS PULASKI COUNTY CRISIS STABILIATION UNIT – FULL-TIME DAY SHIFT 7A-7P

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Pulaski County Crisis Stabilization Unit is a specifically trained member of the interdisciplinary team. The LPN supports the ongoing delivery of care as identified by the multi-disciplinary Patient Management Team. The LPN works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager (CSM) and indirectly under the direction of the RN.

Employee must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training to identify, prevent, and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as non-escalation, de-escalation, personal protection from physical assaults, and physical alternatives within six months of hire.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School, GED, or formal education equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
• 1 year of LPN experience, or will consider new graduate with previous CNA, MA, or PCT experience
• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Arkansas
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to accept and follow written and verbal instructions, ability to communicate following Guest Care guidelines
• Current BLS certification, or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment
