Union Pacific’s Law Department is looking for an Assistant General or General attorney to join our Labor, Employment & Safety team in its Omaha, Nebraska headquarters. The qualified candidate will support Union Pacific and its 32,000+ employees by representing the company in court and before administrative law judges on personal injury and whistleblower matters as well as providing risk optimized and strategic advice and counsel on employment and safety matters. Reporting to the Senior Counsel, Law, this attorney will assist the Labor, Employment and Safety team providing practical business-oriented and strategic legal counseling to business leaders. Experience in or representing the rail industry would be a distinct advantage. The selected candidate will be well-respected and sought out for his/her legal excellence, high intelligence, business judgment, work ethic and pragmatism. The selected candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, leadership and technical expertise that will assist them in confidently seeking to drive solutions for Union Pacific.
