Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. The human resources generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will help with important functions such as employee relations, reward management, analyzing HR data, labor relations, and benefits support. They also advise employee and management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs, and procedures.
Job Duties:
Completing required personnel actions and documentation for all North America corporate salaried employees maintaining compliance per DOA.
Executing SOX controls for divisional, non-plant salaried employees.
Subject Matter Expert for HR SOX controls. Point of contact for all plant HR Managers as it pertains to SOX requirements. Partners with Sox Analyst for alignment of HR Control processes. Maintains HR Processes and Actions Matrix.
Subject Matter Expert for all Human Resources Information Systems.
Supports plant HR Managers and HR Leadership team as directed.
Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
Manages relocation processing (transfers and new hires).
Supports Succession Planning process, for performance management systems and reporting
Subject Matter Expert for People Development Review system.
Coordinates Customer HR-related audits.
With leadership oversight, provides key HR functional and administrative support for Payroll, Benefits, Employee Health and Safety, and Leave of Absence process (including Short Term Disability and FMLA)
Plan onboarding strategies and perform new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional early experience.
Assist sector HR leadership in projects as directed and needed.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
3-5 years’ Human Resource experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred
Knowledge of Manufacturing organizations preferred
Proven demonstration of strong business acumen skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
Flexible; team player; self-starter; self-motivated
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
Knowledge of HR systems –SuccessFactors, ADP preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Work Environment:
This position will primarily work in an office environment where sitting for prolonged periods of time and using a computer, telephone and other office electronics is critical. The position will also need to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
