Responsibilities for the Case Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
· Reviews reports made to the Office of Inclusion and Institutional Equity and makes immediate contact with the alleged victim/survivor; communicates professionally and in a timely manner with various audiences; and exercises appropriate confidentiality
· Maintains comprehensive records and accurate documentation within the case management system, to include all reports, correspondence, notes, referrals, and action items. This includes timely creation, updates, and closure of cases in the case management system and entry of relevant case notes and documentation for clergy reporting.
· Meets in person with students, faculty, or staff members to discuss applicable processes: 1) Title IX, Discrimination or Student Conduct, 2) rights and process options, 3) interim measures 4) accommodations, 5) referrals 6) on- or off-campus resources 7) preservation of evidence 8) other information as necessary
· Consults with the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of OIIE regarding accommodations following an incident of sexual misconduct, relationship violence, stalking and/or retaliation, hate bias, or discrimination
· Collaborates closely with all appropriate offices to provide a comprehensive approach to services; follows up with individuals as appropriate after a report to ensure necessary support
· Provides knowledge, understanding, and input of various university policies, procedures, and protocols within Title IX and with other processes, including academic probation/suspension; add/drop and withdrawal deadlines, tuition policies, housing appeal processes, etc.
· Assists with the development and analysis of assessment and evaluation data of students, faculty, and staff to determine trends, patterns, programming, services, and communication strategies to support and encourage best practices at the university, to include submission of the biennial MHEC report; develops educational materials for students, faculty, and staff regarding the support services and functions of the office
· Performs other duties as assigned by the AVP of OIIE
The work hours for this position may include some evenings and weekends.
Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Two years of professional work experience conducting case management
· Experience working in the areas of Title IX or Sexual Violence
· Strong administrative skills to include the ability to track case progression, meet established deadlines, and maintain accurate and detailed records
· Ability to use software management systems (i.e., Advocate, Maxient, etc.)
· Ability to work in a team setting
· Understanding and working philosophy of inclusion and equity
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with evaluation and assessment of programs, facilitation, conflict coaching or management, or mediation training
· Experience with coordinating processes within a university setting
