Posting Summary:
As part of the Networking Team, Career Coaches lead the Career Interest Groups at the heart of career advising at UVM – connecting students to the people, opportunities, and resources they need to graduate career ready. Leverage networking skills to develop and foster a robust network of alums, students, faculty/staff & employers. Teach students how to leverage the Interest Group networks; guide them in developing an awareness of their values, interests, skills, and competencies; coach them on how to find and pursue relevant experiences; and advise them in producing effective application materials. Supervise student staff who envision and execute regular communications and a signature event.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Bachelor’s degree and three years related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience, which may include a master’s degree. Knowledge of career development, effective skills in networking/relationship building, program development and facilitation, communication/promotion, harnessing technology, coaching/advising and event planning required. Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of current employment trends; experience with career services technology such as Handshake, GoinGlobal, Big Interview, etc. Experience with assessment and instruction.

Occasional evening /weekend hours required
Special Conditions:
Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
