Project Manager (1 Position) – CSW:
Social Work Office of Research and Public Service
Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000
The University of Tennessee Knoxville, College of Social Work, through the Social Work Office of Research and Public Service (SWORPS) is accepting applications for a Project Manager for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services Title IV-E Evaluation and Fidelity Monitoring Project. Reporting to the Director for the Division of Applied Research and Evaluation, the person in this position is responsible for a broad range of duties related to planning, organizing, executing, and monitoring the implementation and ongoing operations for this statewide initiative. This position establishes priorities and develops schedules for project deliverables, ensuring project goals and objectives are met. The person in this position manages internal and external communications and liaises with local, regional, and state stakeholders on program operational matters. The position also provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and support to the project team as needed and appropriate.
Qualifications

The following job duties include, but not limited to:
Project Management
-Manages and oversees statewide program operations
-Sets priorities and develops schedules for project deliverables
-Ensures project goals and objectives are met
-Provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and support to the project team as needed and appropriate
-Collaborates closely with project leads to ensure timely deliverables and smooth project execution
-Coordinates internal and external resources effectively ensuring compliance with project and sponsor requirements
-Analyzes project status regularly and proactively engages relevant stakeholders in revisions to scope, schedule, or budget, if necessary, to ensure project requirements can be met
-Collects, compiles, and shares updates on project progress and key performance indicators (KPIs) co-created with relevant stakeholder to ensure quality and continuity of reports
Managing stakeholder relationships and needs
-Develop positive and trusting relationships with sponsors/program staff, serving as the primary contact for day-to-day project status updates and changes
-Manages internal and external communications responding in a timely and professional manner via telephone and email
-Liaises with local, regional, and state stakeholders on program operational matters
-Organizes and/or participates in local, regional, or state meetings
-Develops and disseminates/delivers reports and professional presentations as needed
Supporting Project Staff
-Organizes and/or participates in search committees to select project staff
-Provides training, supervision, coaching, and/or technical assistance to project staff
-Other duties/projects as assigned
Education
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Development, Public Health, Social Work, or related field.
Required Work Experience
-Minimum of 5 years of job experience successfully leading/managing human service programs or projects.
-Minimum of 3 years of job experience leading teams, providing training and technical assistance, and supervision.
-Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects, including establishing project timelines, delegating work, and supporting team members.
-Demonstrated experience with evidence-based practice models.
-Fluency in participant confidentiality and data security protocols.
-Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Preferred experience
-Knowledge of the field of child welfare and child maltreatment prevention.
-Project Management certification.
-Experience with multi-site projects.
Exempt Position: Market Range, 13.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday with occasional weekends, evenings, and overnight travel.
WORK LOCATION: Remote- Knoxville, TN (position is remote with occasional state-wide travel in TN)
