The College of Health Professions at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Audiology faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology (http://www.uthsc.edu/asp/). Required qualifications include: (a) Ph.D. in Hearing Science or related fields (b) strong record of research scholarship in peer-reviewed journals commensurate with academic level, and (c) a desire to work in a dynamic and collegial academic environment. Applicants with experience in anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, audiologic assessment, electrophysiology, and/or hearing conservation are preferred but other areas of expertise will be considered. Responsibilities include teaching, supervising student research, conducting research in an area of interest, and service. Preferred Qualifications include: (a) Teaching experience in courses related to his/her area of expertise in Audiology or Hearing Science, (b) Experience publishing, presenting, and seeking extramural funding to support a research program, (c) Experience mentoring student research.
The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology is physically located on the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville and is part of the College of Health Professions at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
