Varied hours between 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday -Friday dependent on staffing needs.
Pay Rate:
$25 / hour
Minimum Experience/Education:
Three years of experience providing direct nursing care as a Registered Nurse.
Nursing experience in an ambulatory medical practice – primary or urgent care or college health.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education::
Strong computer skills with experience using electronic medical records.
Primary Care experience preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cover nurse staffing needs within the various clinics at the Student Health Center.
Work with medical providers to manage patient schedule performing patient intakes including vital signs, administering treatments and assist with procedures.
Other Work/Responsibilities:
Perform patient triage in person and by phone.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications:
Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina or other compact state.

Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker’s Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions, or designated as variable hour worker – i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, and will be notified of instructions.
