Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing application administration for enterprise level collaborative software services to campus units, which include video and web conferencing tools, IT service management system, chat and remote desktop service portals, workflow and process management systems.
This position will develop ITSM portals for cost recovery customers including gathering requirements, develop project plans, developing technical solutions based on customer specification and provide Tier 2 and 3 level support for services supported by the team. This position will take direction from the manager of the Collaborative Tools team and guidance from the Application Analyst (Team Lead) on Collaborative Tools tasks and special projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain, Install, and Configure Software Components and Tools
1. Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy applications to production environments and ensure they are maintained and updated as needed. Monitor system performance and resource allocations. Maintain appropriate level of preventative service/maintenance.
2. Change Management: Ensures that appropriate system management procedures are developed and followed. Follow processes and procedures for planning and implementing changes into production.
3. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans and cases to ensure software applications meet requirements and are of high quality.
4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolutions: Investigate and resolve issues reported by users, including application defects and data quality issues. Resolves operational problems and conflicts for 24/7 availability of systems, when appropriate.

Lead Technical Application Development of Collaborative Tools Managed Systems and Services
1. Application Design and Development: Design and develop software applications, including client portals, ticketing applications and integrations with other systems. Develop, script, and maintain API for ITSM process workflows.
2. Requirements Gathering: Work with business stakeholders and cost recovery clients to gather and document requirements for new or enhanced software applications.
3. Training and Support: Provide training and support to users of software applications to ensure they can effectively use the software to meet their business needs.
4. Project Management: Manage project related to software application development including planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress.
5. Vendor Management: Work with application vendors to evaluate, select and implement third-party solutions.

Contribute to the Planning Activities for the Strategic and Tactical Direction of the Product Administration Group by Establishing Future Directions for Application and Hardware Architecture for Systems such as Zoom, Confluence, TeamDynamix, and TeamDynamix iPaaS
1. Research, propose, and develop new technologies to support current and future EITS services.
2. Collaborates, partners, and develops relationships with other campus units, committees, individual faculty, staff, and students.
3. Participate on EITS, campus-wide, and external IT committees, task forces, and working groups that support or enhance information technology at UGA.
4. Assist with due diligence evaluations and activities of new technology deployments are appropriately conducted.
5. Develop and coordinate actions and strategies for current and upcoming projects/initiatives.

Research, Develop, and Provide Regular Reporting and Documentation of Collaborative Tools and Services
1. Documentation: Document software applications and related processes, including user manuals, training, internal knowledge base articles and technical specifications.
2. Research new tools and ways to improve overall reporting and monitoring services for the Collaborative Tools team.
3. Efficiently and effectively maintain the status of services and projects via software designated by EITS senior management based on pre-established guidelines.
