Two-year degree in business, office technology or related field.Three years database management experience. Three years accounts payable experience.Three years customer service experience.
Position Summary:
The data management specialist position is UGA’s program administrator for the State mandated Total Maintenance System (TMS) fleet maintenance program. He/she enrolls vehicles in the program, updates maintenance parameters such and repair approvers, dollar thresholds requiring approval, methods of communication, invoice recipients and vehicle billing account assignments. The data management specialist is the TMS subject matter expert and liaison between UGA business units, the state Office of Fleet Management (OFM) and OFM’s fleet management business partner (Holman). He/she interacts with internal UGA customers, Holman account managers and vehicle maintenance service providers to facilitate an efficiently operated, cost effective vehicle maintenance program that complies with State and local policy guidance and best practices. The data management specialist reviews the TMS statement of accounts monthly to monitor timely payment, identify billing errors and resolve discrepancies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
Familiarity with automotive maintenance terms and processes.
Intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Physical Demands:
Many of the duties associated with this role are performed in an office setting, seated at a desk, keyboarding, filing and interacting with customers via email and telephone. Interaction with other members of the automotive center team is also necessary, which will require walking, standing, bending, stooping and climbing stairs.

Ensure vehicles serviced outside of the automotive are enrolled in TMS and serviced at least once every six months or 5,000 miles in accordance with established best practice. Work with business units to improve compliance with policy and best practice.
