Job Title:Program Coordinator

Position Summary:
As a Program Coordinator you will supervise and support all aspects of Early Childhood programming at the OSU Child Care Program.
This position will be responsible for:
Developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating staffing as needed for the program.
Articulating program philosophy, policies and procedures to staff and families.
Monitoring and evaluating curriculum implementation.
Monitoring and evaluating health, safety and security processes and procedures including but not limited to the Child and Adult Care Food Program monitoring.
Participating as a member of the Administrative Team in strategic planning for the program
Serving on teams responsible for compliance and goal setting.
Coordinates enrollment and internal transitions with appropriate staff and implementing the orientation program for enrolling families.
Observing classrooms and providing coaching for teaching staff.
Serving as a consultant to administrators regarding child development, curriculum, mentoring, scheduling, and all issues involving children and families of the Program.
Assisting in hiring staff and orienting program staff to respective position.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent experience.
5 years of relevant experience required.
Implementation of The Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies of Gold.
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to keep accurate records, plan and organize well.
Able to work cooperatively with multi-disciplinary staff and other community professionals.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced Degree in early childhood education, child development, or education related field.
8-12 years of relevant experience. (Philosophy and practices of early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practice, and oversight/implementation of early childhood curriculum)
Experience with the implementation of The Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies of Gold.
Experience in an administrative/supervisory type position in an early childhood setting.
Have education or experience in collaborating with parents in the education of their children.
