Job Title:Content & Editorial Specialist
Department:Arts and Sciences | Marketing and Communications
As a member of the College of Arts and Sciences Marketing and Communications (ASCMarcomm) Team, the Content and Editorial Specialist is responsible for developing informative, engaging and strategy-based content. This position will actively contribute by creating storytelling opportunities and producing those stories through various formats and channels. This position will author content in various areas and be creative, highly collaborative, prioritizing a high volume of work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role requires a strong writer and editor with proven outcomes who can craft audience-centric storytelling and marketing content that touches disciplines across the Arts and Sciences, including the arts; humanities; social, behavioral, natural, and mathematical sciences. This position also manages projects and consults regularly with college departments, centers, and offices, and assists with measuring the impact of content marketing. This position will use digital storytelling including video, audio and photography to enhance written storytelling and messages across web, social and other digital channels.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or similar combination of education and experience. Two years of relevant experience. Experience including writing, editing, marketing, video editing, and using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience and expertise in writing, editing, knowledge of AP style.
Desired: The ideal candidate will have higher education or nonprofit experience using web content management systems, (especially Drupal), experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), and email systems (such as Mailchimp, Salesforce). The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and project management skills.

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The pay range for this job profile is $42,700 – $56,900. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
