3-6 Lead-Teacher
We are looking to add to our Staff Family at MGS. A little about us, MGS is a small private Montessori based program in the King of Prussia area that has been educating children in the Philadelphia and suburbs for the past 24 years. We are a dedicated group of dynamic educators and advocate for young children and their families. Our teachers play a crucial role in both the short term everyday life of our students as well as providing our students a foundation for long term success. Our program culture is based on building relationships between ownership and our teachers, our teachers with their students and families, and with the families and the ownership. Our staff culture is one where our teachers help support each other throughout the day and rely on each other for support. We are looking for a candidate that wants a position where they will have an active role in our school and someone that will add to our school and staff culture.

Ideal candidate:

• Good communication skills
• Open minded, critical thinker and want to grow both professionally and personally
• A full time position that will require a minimum work week of 36+ hours
• Work schedule of 4 days; 10 hour shifts with one day off
• Looking for a position that will give them an active role in their day to day
• Familiarity with Montessori approach

Requirements:

• A Minimum of one year of experience working with children or/and
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree in ECE or a related field or a Bachelor’s degree in a non related field
• Experience with children with different levels of need is a major plus (ex: special education, Therapeutic staff support (TSS), ESL)
• Obtain PA Childadbuse clearance, FBI fingerprint, and a PA Background Check

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary will be determined based on a combination of education and experience
• $18-21 Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (ECE, education, Psychology, Sociology) and 2+ years of experience; Candidates with Associate’s in a related field and 4+ years of experience;
• Candidates with AMS or AMI certification for 0-3 or a PA PK-4 Teaching Certification are salaried at a rate of $55,000-60,000 per year
• We offer an option for employment based Health Insurance and vision with Keystone East as well as dental with United Concordia
• There is a probation period of 90 days and employees need to work a minimum of 40 hours per week to qualify
• Very flexible scheduling with many options for overtime if desired
• Staff are given free tuition for one child in our program
• Paid sick days and Vacation time
