Essential Duties:
Lesson plan and deliver engaging instruction using school approved curriculum aligned with Arizona State Standards
Create lessons and activities that involve engagement strategies with experiential, inductive and hands-on learning
Create an environment with a high level of mutual respect and manage daily classroom operations utilizing effective practices
Proctor and track assessments as identified in school assessment calendar
Communicate with families regarding student academic, behavioral, social and emotional progress
Conduct Parent/Teacher Conferences as identified by school calendar
Enter and maintain accurate attendance records in student management system
Enter and maintain accurate assignments and grades records in student management system
Provide supervision during transition times and recess as indicated by school schedule
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution
Meet professional teacher education requirements of school and state
Single subject teaching credential, certification or endorsement if teaching a specialized subject
Relevant teaching experience
Knowledge of relevant technology
IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
