The Lane Construction Corporation Looking for Project Accountant – Los Angeles, CA (Astaldi) at Los Angeles, CA  Full Time

This role is for our subsidiary company, Astaldi performing work on amajor heavy highway project in Los Angeles, CA.

1. Prepare general ledger and job cost entries including Fixed Assets Monthly Depreciation, monthly accruals, insurance premium allocation, taxes, financing amortization
2. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts including (clients, vendors, prepaids, accruals, payroll taxes, inventories and fixed assets)
3. Coordinate with the Fleet Dept. the recording of newly acquired vehicle and equipment and the handling and recording of disposed equipment and vehicles
4. Assure that the fixed assets registered in the accounting are consistent with the fixed assets inventory
5. Coordinate with the project control department and assure that the costs are correctly allocated on the project
6. Assure that the internal rates of the equipment are consistent with company policy and correctly allocate the cost of utilization of each equipment on the project
7. Assure that the IC transactions are promptly registered and monthly reconciled in the accounting

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
2. 3 years’ experience in Accounting
3. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
4. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
5. SAGE experience will be a plus
