The Kraft Heinz Company Looking for Senior Auditor, Global Internal Audit at Chicago, IL  Full Time

Position Summary

The Senior Auditor, Global Internal Audit will execute internal audits under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager and Zone Audit Director and assist in the on-going risk monitoring operations and routines to support Kraft Heinz internal audits and business units. The Senior Analyst will perform audits across multiple-zones and will support the execution of the Risk Monitoring Center of Excellence (RMCOE) activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business process reviews so as to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over the business cycles
• Conduct business process reviews to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of operations
• Conduct reviews to assess the accuracy of the financial statements
• Conduct reviews to evaluate IT applications and the adequacy/efficiency of accounting, financial and operating procedures established for IT control purposes
• Determine compliance with established Finance and/or IT policies and Sarbanes Oxley legislation
• Prepare reports based upon audit results, audit documentation, and client responses
• Effectively communicate audit observations via update meetings and closing conferences with management personnel
• Execute on-going operations of the RMCOE including, but not limited to: Identify, design, and develop risk indicators; extract routines to support selected audits within the annual audit plan or continuous monitoring initiatives with the business; manage data extraction, storage, transformation, and processing; and generate output for analysis and discussion with the audit team and business stakeholders (i.e. Internal Controls, Controllers, Shared Services Center, etc.)
• Support RM Lead to discuss and train Senior leaders to ensure they understand the Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for their respective areas
• Support RM Lead on the development of additional KRIs to be added as part of the RMCOE
• Discuss results of KRI monitoring with Senior Leaders so they understand the risk and required actions to mitigate risks
• Address ad-hoc requests and facilitate data acquisition, as needed, to support internal audit projects and special audit projects
• Collaborate in extracting data from systems to facilitate internal audit process
• Participate in department technology leadership work streams on support, knowledge management processes and use of tools

Qualifications

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematical/Statistical or similar area
• General knowledge of risk/control frameworks (COSO, COBIT) required
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working in the data extraction and analysis space or data science preferably, within a Big-4 accounting firm and/or large corporation’s internal audit department preferred
• Ability to analyze large sets of data from multiple sources
• A professional accounting/audit certification (CPA, CIA, etc.) or IT (CISA, CIA, CISM, etc.) certification preferred
• Proficient in database & Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) concepts
• SAP knowledge required
• FMCG/Manufacturing experience, preferred
• Goal-oriented and outgoing with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Quickly learner and broad understanding of diverse business processes, systems and key risk indicators
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think and work analytically
• Ability to develop strong and lasting relationships with all levels of management

Communication:

• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing by adopting appropriate communication style to Senior Leaders and individuals at all levels of the organization to promote and embed risk monitoring process
• Establish key relationships and lead discussions with cross functional teams to understand and collaborate on complex business issues
• Ability to interact and exercise strong judgment in communicating issues internally and to senior management
• Articulate understanding of business areas under review and demonstrate thorough analysis and solid rationale for potential issues
• Update Internal Audit Manager or Director on progress and potential issues in a timely manner

Leadership:

• Develop an open and honest working relationship with Senior Leaders and those being audited and maintain a professional approach at all times
• Share best practices, tools and testing methodologies with all members of the audit team, members of the business and contribute to departmental projects
• Act as a liaison between the Internal Audit function, IT and business areas involved in the risk monitoring process
• Be able to work with multiple organizations and teams, consistently meet deadlines and work well under time constraints and be able to quickly learn and understands diverse business areas/systems
