The Human Resources Office Assistant – Temporary position performs a variety of administrative duties to support the Office of Human Resources. This position primarily serves to provide coverage for the front desk reception and support the classification & compensation, benefits, recruitment, labor, HRIS and general HR functions. This position works on special projects as directed by the Human Resources management team and business partners.
Main Responsibilities:
– Completes employment verifications and forwards salary inquiries to the payroll department.
– Assists departments with requests for Non-TCNJ Employee access which may include updating, deleting and creating records in Cloud.
Compensation and Classification Support:
– Provides assistance for compensation and classification related projects. Projects may include drafting letters for faculty promotions and BOT letters.
Employee and Labor Relations Support:
– Assists the Employee and Labor Relations Manager with booking conference rooms for disciplinary and grievance hearings, special projects including distribution of letters for essential employees, distribution of PNDAs and FNDAs to unions, assistance with preparing for training sessions, filing. Other projects as assigned.
Benefits Support:
– Assists with typing and disseminating benefits letters to new faculty and staff.
– Assists proofreading and updating benefits presentations.
– Assists with reserving rooms on campus for benefits seminars.
HRIS Support:
– Assists with assembly and consolidation of data in Excel or Google sheet.
