The QA Director works with Plant Operations, QA, Contract Sanitation Vendors and Regional Technical Managers to help design and lead Food Safety and QA programs across Regional production, storage and distribution facilities. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of Corporate and Regulatory programs, and procedures, and continuous improvement programs to ensure production, warehouse and distribution facilities maintain the highest level of Sanitation, Hygiene and Food Safety control. The successful candidate will engage Plant Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Field Operations and Regional Technical Manager personnel to ensure successful program adoption and sustainability of all KoRe protocols.
The Director will build capability through training and knowledge transfer to Facility associates throughout NAOU SC including co-manufacturing locations. Leverage data to improve the quality and food safety performance in NAOU. Develop, review, communicate requirements to insure compliance with KORE regulatory and franchise requirements. If a quality system failure occurs, the Director will facilitate root cause analysis, helps formulate a plan of action in support of senior management’s decision making during the crisis situation.
Assures quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and testing materials and products.
Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management and with facility production leaders, operators, technicians, and engineers
Ensures raw material standards compliance and issues with raw material specifications by conferring and negotiating with suppliers, engineers, innovation and research and development to devise testing methods, procedures, and alternatives.
Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product by devising evaluation tests, methods, and procedures.
Ensure in-process product inspection standards are met and non-conforming product disposition in uniformly applied
Institutes rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
Creates product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
Collaborates with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
Develops a quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Ensure quality by planning, monitoring and appraising quality dashboard and job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing quality assurance budget, scheduling, expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed or assigned.
Contributes as requested to technical inquires from customers and consumers.
Ensures facility certification compliance for required certifications (kosher, organic, GFSI)
SME for quality issues related to natural variation for purchased commodities.

Experience with analytics software and related quality software.
Base Salary: $ 165,284 to $ 195,249
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
