Major/Essential Functions
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is transforming care for patients in the correctional setting. The John T. Montford unit located in Lubbock, TX, specializes in housing offenders who require mental health and medical treatment. As part of our Montford team, the Senior Director plays an essential role in helping deliver mental health services to a unique population. By managing a variety of teams providing comprehensive services, this role positively impacts patients’ lives, including many who previously never had access to quality health care.

As Senior Director at the Montford Unit, you will serve in a key role on the leadership team as we continue our efforts of providing access to high-quality, low-cost health care to the patients we serve.  In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of functions including the following:

• Provide leadership, supervision and direction to the administrative, clinical, and support staff involved in the provision of mental health care services in the Montford Psychiatric Facility.
• Communicate and organize access to psychiatric services in collaboration with other senior Managed Care staff members while focusing on patient care needs. 
• Communicate and coordinate with other state agencies to facilitate continuity of care for patients.
• Serve as an active contributor during management meetings, providing updated results and metrics over your assigned area. Compile and analyze relevant data and statistics, and prepare action/performance reports. 
• Monitor and track productivity and services through planning, organizing, and prioritizing to accomplish organizational and departmental goals. 
• Work with our Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) partners to facilitate cooperation and consistency in the provision of health services, risk management, and monitoring of policy.
• Support utilization review and clinical management to achieve Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) operational and American Correctional Association (ACA) standards.
• Coordinate with fiscal managers, attend finance meetings for senior administration, report on fiscal performance, monitor spending, control spending for fiscally and clinically feasibility, and manage the facility budget.
• Cooperate with and execute TDCJ requirements for due process, and participate and contribute to the incident review team.  
• Attend and contribute in quarterly teleconferences, conferences, or video conferences.

Required Qualifications
