Job Description
The Assistant Director for Community Engagement and Leadership will support the unit and aid in community development initiatives related to engagement, student success, and departmental student leadership opportunities for on-campus residents. This position will supervise full-time professional staff and indirectly supervise graduate and student staff. The Assistant Director will also serve as the primary advisor for the department’s Residence Hall Association (RHA) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH). The Assistant Director will report to the Associate Director for Residential Experience in the Department of Housing and Residential Life at Texas State University. The Assistant Director must be able to physically perform the job’s essential duties, including accessing all areas of a residential building and other campus areas. The Assistant Director will frequently utilize a computer and a phone.
